CAST IRON T-SLOTTED PLATES

Jash Cast Iron T-Slotted Floor Plates are used in engineering industries as rigid bases for layout, marking, inspection, assembly work, large fixtures, special tooling and production set ups, as also for mounting jobs for precision welding or for carrying out machining operations like drilling, boring etc. and also test beds for mounting engines, large machines, transmission or other industrial equipments.

JASH Light & Medium Duty (ELMD Type) Clamping Plates suitable for use as tables or beds for light duty work like layout, marking, inspection, assembly, set ups, light fabrication etc. These are machined on top, bottom and two longitudinal edges. Ends are machined only upon request

Salient Features

  • Offered as Precision Floor Plates with finer flatness accuracy Grade A checked by precision level or as Floor Plates with flatness accuracy Grade A checked by straight edge for mounting jobs for precision machining operations like boring, milling, drilling etc.
  • Bed Plates with coarser flatness accuracy viz, Grade-II or Grade III for uses as bases for mounting large components and jobs for various purposes like marking, layout, fabrication, assembly etc. as well as for use as test beds for mounting engines, machines and equipments for their test runs etc.
  • Depending upon the constructional features, sturdiness, intended use and flatness accuracy and surface finish required, JASH C.I. T-slotted Plates are offered differently as Precision Floor Plates, Floor Plates, Bed Plates, Light Duty Clamping Plates in various sizes and with alternative flatness accuracies with standard and optional technical features as stated below:

STANDARD TECHNICAL FEATURES

  • Cored and ribbed construction
  • Made from close grained plain cast iron to minimum Grade - FG:200-IS:210 having hardness within 160-220 HB. Also offered in higher grades of casting upon request.
  • Castings stress relieved as a precaution against distortion.
  • Sizes offered from 1000 x 1000mm to 6000 x 2000 mm. Standard sizes as per table hereunder
  • Offered in varied heights viz. 150, 175, 250, 300, 350, 400, 450, 500mm depending upon the loading condition to be specified by the buyer
  • Smooth machined or rough ground or rough scraped or fine hand scraped surface finish as may be necessary to obtain desired flatness accuracy or as specified by the Buyer.
  • Normally provided with longitudinally machined clamping type fixing T-slots sizes 14, 18, 22, 28, 36 or 42 mm conforming to IS:2013 / DIN 650 having H12 tolerance. Guiding T-slots with H7/H8 tolerance can be provided
  • Flatness accuracies offered in Grade I, II or III as per DIN-876
  • Supplied with suitable arrangement for leveling and anchoring on the floor.

OPTIONAL / ADDITIONAL FEATURES PROVIDED UPON REQUEST

  • Special work mounting and locating features like mounting and positioning holes, scribe lines, grooves etc.
  • One T-slot and one side face provided accurately straight to serve as reference
  • Cross T-slots, if required.
  • Grout holes on top.
  • Pockets on sides of plates thouse bolts for interconnection of similar plates meant for obtaining larger overall made up size.
  • Stand mounting type with leveling screws either accessible from top or from bottom, as required
  • Flatness accuracies as per IS-10602 can be offered.
  • Flatness Accuracies measured using precision electronic level for high precision applications can be ensured at extra costs.

In case of non-standard sizes, clients are requested to furnish information like (a) length, width and height of plate (b) load bearing capacity required (c) type of intended use (d) whether floor mounting type or stand mounting type (e) flatness accuracy of top working surface (f) size, number and pitch of T-slots (g) T-slot tolerances etc.
